Once you configure your keyboard to your liking, with your personalized colors, curves, character modifications and fonts, you can use settings_string > Keyboard Exchange to save your configuration. You can email this configuration, in the form of a Hex Code, to other MessagEase users to install and enjoy.

You can also post the keyboard image embedded in the email to Twitter, or Facebook, to show off your personalized keyboard!

When you enter keyboard exchange screen, your current keyboard will be captured and its configuration code will be displayed in the code field.

You can copy this code and send it to others. or you can tap on the button to email this code, along the keyboard's image, to others.

Please note: When you create and send someone a MessagEase keyboard, your name will permanently appear on the bottom of their keyboard! (Specify Keyboard Creator Name in advanced_options_string.)

You can also tap on the button to save this code for your future use. The saved code will show up as an icon in the lower area.

Once saved, tapping on the icon will restore it to the code area.

After you restore a code by tapping on a saved icon, you can use the button to apply it to your current keyboard.

While on this screen, you can reconfigure your keyboard, and then tap on the button to create the code for your current keyboard.

The green outlines will show the equivalent keyboard codes and icons.

Importing a Keyboard Code:

You can import a keyboard code in two ways:

1. Copy and Paste the code to the text area on Keyboard Exchange screen, then tap on the button to apply it to your current keyboard.

OR

2. Tap and Hold on the Hand Button while the code is showing in any app!

Components of Your Saved Keyboard:

Your keyboard's base language, colors scheme, all your keyboard character modifications, your keyboard's key curves, as well as your keyboard's font will be saved using the keyboard exchange.

Publishing your keyboard:

Once you design your keyboard with your own creative colors, or program it with your own sent of useful characters, we recommend you publish your keyboard for others to benefit and use. You can send us your interesting keyboard designs by emailing them to support@exideas.com and we will publish it on our website for everyone to access and use.
